Montanari Fuel Service, Inc. is a local and family owned business that can trace its roots back to just after World War II. Frank and Fred Montanari returned from serving in the armed forces to start Montanari Fuel Oil Company in 1946. As their business grew, their brother Andy Sr. joined to help with deliveries. When Fred left to pursue a career in real estate and insurance in 1951, Andy Sr. became vice president and joined Frank, serving as president, in helping to run the company.

In the ensuing years, Montanari Fuel Service Inc acquired Ridgefield Oil and the DaSilva Fuel Oil Company of Danbury in order to broaden their service area and customer base. Montanari Fuel Service Inc soon expanded into more modern facilities to better serve their customers with the most up-to-date technical equipment in the industry.

In 1996, Frank Montanari retired from the company, handing the reins to Andy Sr. Today Andy Jr. leads the company and its commitment to top-quality service and oil products.
